杨廷宝先生，字仁辉，是我国著名建筑学家和建筑教育家，东南大学建筑学科创立的一代宗师。2021年杨廷宝先生诞辰120周年之际，为传承和光扬先生的学术精神，东南大学建筑学院开设“仁辉讲堂”，长期延请国内外著名学者、建筑师举办讲座，弘扬学术，激励后学，推动中国建筑和建筑教育事业的蓬勃发展。本期仁辉讲堂，由瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院教授亚历山大·塞里奥特（Alexandre Theriot）以及卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院教授斯蒂芬妮·布吕（Stéphanie Bru）主讲，采取线下方式开展。

Professor Yang Tingbao, also known by his courtesy name as Renhui, was a renowned Chinese architect and architectural educator, who founded the architectural discipline at Southeast University. To honor his academic legacy, on the occasion of Prof. Yang Tingbao’s 120th anniversary in 2021, the School of Architecture at Southeast University launched the "Renhui Forum". This ongoing initiative invites leading scholars and architects from China and abroad to give lectures, advancing academic excellence, nurturing emerging talents, and promoting the development of architecture and architectural education in China.

The upcoming lecture will feature Alexandre Theriot, professor, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and Stéphanie Bru, professor, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

BRUTHER is an architecture practice founded by Stéphanie Bru and Alexandre Theriot, exploring forms of architecture where structure, climate, and use are inseparable. “Hypercomfort” is not an accumulation of technologies, but an intensification of situations - where space becomes capable of hosting multiple states of inhabitation. Comfort is understood as a dynamic condition, negotiated between bodies, environments, and time. Through a series of projects, the lecture unfolds architecture as a sensitive and open system.

在拼合的行为发生之前，并不存在任何预设之物。建筑始于各类片段——材料、身体、约束条件、欲望诉求——这些要素在被拼合之前并无等级之分。对BRUTHER而言，形式从不先验给定，而是在张力、碰撞与关联中生成。因此，“拼合”（Putting together）并非一种方法，而是一种立场：它拒绝纯粹性、拥抱异质性，所建构的不是对象，而是情境。本讲座将建筑呈现为一种持续进行的构成过程，始终处于未完成之中。

Nothing pre-exists the act of putting together. Architecture begins with fragments - materials, bodies, constraints, desires - that have no hierarchy until they are assembled. For BRUTHER, form is never given: it emerges from tensions, collisions, and alliances. “Putting together” is therefore not a method but a position - one that refuses purity, embraces heterogeneity, and constructs situations rather than objects. The lecture unfolds architecture as an ongoing composition, always incomplete.

亚历山大·塞里奥特（Alexandre Theriot）与斯蒂芬妮·布吕（Stéphanie Bru）于2007年在巴黎创立了Bruther建筑事务所，并于2022年在苏黎世设立分部。他们属于在经济衰退初期开启职业生涯的一代建筑师，这一经历塑造了他们对建筑的理解：建筑如同一把瑞士军刀——可在多元场景中使用，并能够整合多个知识领域。他们近期的项目展现出策略与形式、严谨与自由、特定性与通用性、即时性与可演化性之间的微妙平衡。2014年，他们的作品以专题专著《Introduction》出版，并被多种国际刊物广泛报道（如《2G》/ 2017，《El Croquis》/ 2019，《A+U》/ 2023）。他们的作品凭借卓越设计获得多个奖项，包括三次银尺奖（Équerre d'Argent，2016、2018和2020）、2018年法国建筑学院颁发的德让奖，以及2020年瑞士建筑奖。2018年，Bruther入围卡尔斯鲁厄的谢林建筑基金会颁发的谢林建筑奖。自2021年起，布吕在柏林艺术大学任教；自2022年起，她与塞里奥特共同在哈佛大学任教。2025年，她被任命为卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院教授。塞里奥特目前任教于瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院。

Alexandre Theriot and Stéphanie Bru founded the architecture practice Bruther in 2007 in Paris, and established a branch office in Zurich in 2022. They belong to the generation of architects who launched their careers at the beginning of the recession, a condition likely reflected in the way they define architecture: like a Swiss Army knife, a tool to be used in the most disparate circumstances, an aid that reconciles all fields of knowledge. Their recent projects suggest a delicate balance between strategy and form, rigour and freedom, specific and generic, immediacy and evolvability. Their work was the object of a monograph entitled “Introduction” in 2014, and of many other international publications (2G / 2017, El Croquis / 2019, A+U / 2023). Distinguished by several awards, they have received the Équerre d'Argent prize three times (2016, 2018 and 2020), the Dejean prize in 2018 from the French Academy of Architecture and in 2020 the Swiss Architectural Award. In 2018, Bruther was nominated for the prestigious Schelling Architecture Prize of the Karlsruhe Schelling Architecture Foundation. Since 2021, Bru has been teaching at Universität der Künste (UdK) Berlin. Since 2022, she has taught together with Theriot at Harvard University. In 2025, she was appointed professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Theriot currently teaches at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich).
