ZHU Lei

ZHU Lei 

Dr. Zhu lei is the Associate Professor of School of Architecture in Southeast University and the Vice Director of Architectural Department, Registered Architect, China.

Dr. Zhu was born in Suzhou, China, in 1972. In 1994, he received bachelor of Architecture degree from Southeast University (SEU), where he finally received doctor degree in 2007. He has been a teacher in Southeast University from 1997. He has also been a visiting researcher in Aichi Industry University in Japan from 2004 to 2005.

In Southeast University, Dr. Zhu has given architectural design course for 1st & 2nd year students, and been coordinator for 2nd year course. He also gave lectures of architectural theory and design for undergraduates, and joined the united design studio with MIT, UBC & Tokyo Industrial University for graduate students. He researches on modern architectural space design & pedagogy,and public facilities design & planning in the background of contemporary Chinese urbanization

Dr. Zhu is also a registered architect in China. He has won several design competitions and completed some public building & landscape projects. He received the Youth Architect Awards by Architectural Society of China in 2014.
