BAO Li

Dr. BAO Li graduated from Southeast University(SEU) with M-Arch Degree in 1995,and from Swiss Fderal Institute of Technology, Zurich (ETHZ) with Dipl. NDZ in 2000, she received her Doctorate at ETHZ in 2007 supervised by Prof. Herbert Kramel and Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani. She is associate professor and the director of Architecture Department at School of Architecture, SEU since 2015, visiting scholar at ETHZ in 2016 and guest professor of ASP (Alta Scuola Politecnica, Italy) summer school in 2017. She is the coordinator of CIB at SEU, a member of Chinese Green Building Committee, Committee of urban design(CUD-ASC) and underground space(CUS-ASC) as well.

Having been teaching Architectural Design and Theory courses for bachelor and master for more than 20 years, Dr. BAO has won a dozen of national levels’ awards and published 7 books on teaching. She also has rich experience in joint-teaching and research with European and American universities and professors.

Dr. BAO has been focusing on the community study and architecture design with practice, and the major research topics are sustainable habitat, urban regeneration and open building in recent years. In last two decades, she has worked on the real projects in a wide range from urban design, public building, and housing to building renovation, some have been received prizes and honors. She also has responded and participated in a few of national and provincial research projects in these fields and published a number of papers home and abroad.
