WANG Xiaoqian

Born in Yangzhou of Jiangsu Province, Dr. Wang Xiaoqian graduated from the architectural department of Nanjing Technology University in 1993 and received her Doctorate in Engineering from Southeast University in 2002. She works as an associate professor and a graduate student advisor in the Institute of Architectural History and Theory , School of Architecture , Southeast University. 

Dr. Wang has been engaged in the studies of Chinese modern architecture, the history of world architecture, comparative studies between Eastern&Western architecture, renovation and revival of historical buildings and blocks, and sustainable design of built environment. 

So far she has presided and completed more than 15 scientific research programs on national, provincial and municipal levels as well as over 10 projects involving heritage protection and renovation. In recent years, she has released more than 45 academic papers and 15 books in Chinese and English,and won a series of prizes in teaching and researching such as China National Book Award, Le Corbusier Award for History Teaching, one of the most popular tutor in Southeast University and ect.
