Cai Kaizhen, Ph.D.. Since 2009, he has been teaching in School of Architecture of Southeast University, focusing on the design creation, theoretical research and teaching of urban design and architectural design, and undertaking the architectural design and urban design courses of undergraduate students.
The main research direction is urban design and architectural design. The research focus is the relationship between spatial form and public safety, spatial form from the perspective of network, etc.. He has presided over 1 project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 1 project of ministerial scientific research; published monographs Safety-based Urban Design: Theory and Strategy Based on Public Open Space, Alvaro Siza and a translation; participated in the compilation of the national planning materials urban design (1st and 2nd Edition); published more than 10 papers; participated in and presided over more than 20 urban design and architectural design creation projects; won 9 provincial and ministerial design awards, including one first prize for Excellent Survey and Design in the Architectural Design Industry and one first prize for Excellent Engineering Design in Jiangsu Province.
