Presided over and mainly undertook 6 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 National Science and technology support (or key research and development) projects, 1 World Bank project, and more than 10 provincial and ministerial scientific research, talent and educational reform projects; He has published more than 130 papers and 18 books & teaching materials; Won 2 second prizes of science and technology progress award of the Ministry of education, 2 Huaxia Construction Science and technology awards, and 1 outstanding achievement award of philosophy and Social Sciences Research of Jiangsu colleges and universities; He also has won the National Youth thesis Competition Award of Urban Planning Society, truth seeking theory forum and ‘Jin Jingchang’ Excellent Thesis Award of China urban planning for 6 times.
Won 4 provincial teaching achievement awards, guided undergraduates to participate in national urban planning students' homework competition and won 22 Awards; Guide postgraduates to obtain 1 provincial-level excellent dissertation and 6 university level excellent dissertations.
Participated in more than 50 major engineering projects, won 2 national excellent urban & rural planning and design awards, 19 ministerial and provincial excellent survey and Design & excellent engineering design awards (including 4 first prizes), and won nearly 20 major Project bidding (competitions).
