Research direction: Architectural Design and Theory

Xia Bing, male, born in 1975, native place: Nanjing, Jiangsu, is a Doctor of Engineering, Associate Professor, Master Tutor, member of Architectural Society of China, National First-Class Registered Architect. Since 2001, he has been a teacher in the School of Architecture of Southeast University and has paid an academic visit to the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.

Major Direction: Architectural Design and Theory. His research direction is the basic teaching method of sustainable development of public building design and architecture for undergraduate courses. He acts as the Director of Teaching and Research Office of national excellent resource sharing course named Architectural Design for undergraduates at third grade, the director of Jiangsu Excellent Graduation Design Team, He has been awarded the First Price of National Teaching Achievement for Education Reform Project he attended. In recent years, he has published many papers in domestic core journals and important academic conferences, presided over and participated in the International Competition of “2010 Shanghai World Expo Planning and Design”, the International Competition of “Xiong’an New Area Overall Planning and Design”, the design of stations along the Beijing-Shanghai Dedicated Passenger Line and Nanjing-Hangzhou Dedicated Passenger Line, important projects of reconstruction of Fuyang Planning Exhibition Hall, the Sports Center of Taizhou Medical High-Tech Zone, and the north Building before Institute of Engineering of School of Architecture of Southeast University. He has been honored awards at national, provincial and ministerial levels for many times. In 2016, he won the “China Architectural Design Award··Young Architect Award” which is the Highest Honor Award of Chinese young architects in the field of architectural design. In 2019, He won the title of “Jiangsu Zijin cultural and Creative Outstanding Youth”.
