Yang Zhijiang is a Doctor in Architecture, National First-Class Registered Architect, Presiding Architect of Art Building Studio of Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. of Southeast University

Dr. Yang has successively presided over and participated in a number of engineering project designs. His works have been awarded the Silver Award and Third Prize of Industry Award of the National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design; the first and second prizes of the Excellent Engineering Design Award of the Ministry of Construction; the first and second prizes of the Excellent Engineering Design Award of the Ministry of Education; the Architectural Creation Award of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of Architectural Society of China; the Excellent Project Award of the Activation and Utilization of Cultural Relics of the China Cultural Relics Protection Foundation; the Bronze Medal of the Weihai International Architectural Design Competition. In 2018, he won the Gold Medal of Architects Regional Council Asia. In 2019, he won the Architectural Design Excellence Award in Four Areas across the Straits of Hong Kong Institute of Architects.

Personal honors include: Outstanding Young Architect Award of Jiangsu Province in 2008, Chinese Outstanding Contemporary Young Architect Award of Architecture and Culture Society in 2009, and the Eighth National Outstanding Young Architect Award of Architectural Society of China in 2010.

Yang has published more than 20 papers in journals like Architectural Journal, World Architecture, and New Architecture, and a monograph Architecture in the Field of Contemporary Art.
