Xusheng Huang is an associate professor at the Department of Architecture, Southeast University. He received his Master degree from Southeast University in 2009, doctoral degree from ETH Zurich in 2016 and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Singapore-ETH Center. He is currently also serving as secretary of National Sub-Supervision Board of Architectural Education (China)
His research involves examining urban design, the history of urban space and urban modernity. His research is funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Science and Technology Innovation Project for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars in Nanjing, Scientific Research Foundation of Southeast University, etc.
He also focuses on the architectural design education for the second grade of undergraduate in cooperation with Professor Dietmar Eberle, exploring the internationalization and localization of the basic teaching reform. His writing has been published in English journals including Architectural Theory Review, Urban History, Planning Perspectives, etc., and Chinese journals including Journal of Architecture, New Architecture, etc.
