Cao Jun, Lecturer and  postgraduate advisor in Department of Architecture, Deputy Secretary-General of Student Affairs Committee of Architectural Society of China(SAC-ASC), is Double-Innovation Doctor of Jiangsu Province. He also has experience as a visiting scholar in the Penn Institute for Urban Research (Penn IUR), and an officer in the Ministry of Education, People's Republic of China.

His research focuses on quantitative morphological studies and their applications in urban design and architecture design. He has presided over the Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation and participated in multiple province-ministerial level research projects. He is the author of the monograph Form & Pattern: Large-Scale Modeling and Analysis of Urban Typo-Morphology and the translator of Professor Jonathan Barnett’s monograph Implementing Urban Design: Green, Civic, and Community Strategies. He has published over ten papers in journals such as Architectural Journal and Frontiers of Architectural Research etc, while holds six national and international invention patents. He has carried out design practice in cities of Erdos, Dalian, Dengfeng, Wuhu, and Fenyi etc, earning him accolades including the Second Prize of the National Excellent Urban and Rural Planning Design Awards, the First Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Territorial Spatial Planning, and the Architectural Creativity Award of Jiangsu Civil and Architectural Engineering Society. 

Committed to integrating professional education with ideological and political education, he keeps, in an extensive context, mentoring students who have achieved national and provincial honors, like national Silver Award in the Challenge Cup and Top 100 Summer Practice, provincial Best Party Day Activity Award and Advanced Class Collective recognition etc.
