Research direction: Conservation techniques for architectural heritage
Yuan Yu, graduated from Politecnico di Milano with a Ph.D. in the field of Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering. Mainly engaged in scientific research and practical work related to the conservation of architectural heritage.
In recent years, I have focused on the cross-disciplinary researches in architectural heritage conservation, including the intersection of architectural heritage conservation with new materials and artificial intelligence. I’ve conducted one task of the National Key Research and Development Program Project, and participated multiple projects supported by NSFC. Additionally, I’ve carried out projects collaborated with companies of Italian Kerakoll S.p.A. and American Masonry Methods, Inc. I’ve published over 20 academic papers , with several as the first author in top industry journals such as Composites Part B: Engineering and Composite Structures. I’ve also completed multiple practical projects in architectural heritage conservation.
