YU Chuanfei

Dr. YU Chuanfei, who got his Doctor Degree of architecture in Southeast University (Nanjing, China) in 2002, once worked as a post-doctor in School of Architecture at Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) from 2002 to 2004. Now he is working as an associate professor in School of Architecture at Southeast University. 

Dr. Yu‘s areas of interest include Computer-Aided Architectural Design (CAAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Computer Integrated Building System (CIBS), Cinematic Architecture and Interactive Virtual Space in Architecture. After joining the School of Architecture at Southeast University in 2004, his research has been focused on digital imaging and diagram technologies for architectural design, interactive engine and computer games for virtual building, localization strategy and sustainable technologies for BIM in China. He has published several books (/book chapters) and over twenty research papers in different professional journals and international conferences. As a PI or Co-PI, YU Chuanfei has also worked on about 16 research and/or design projects which funded by kinds of sources including National Natural Science Foundation in China (NSFC). 

Dr. Yu teaches courses in Architectural Design and Theory for undergraduate students, holds a design studio for senior undergraduate and graduate students, with a focus on interdisciplinary areas of Architecture and Digital Techniques. He had served as a teaching secretory of the School of Architecture from 2005-2009, and had been a deputy director of the Department of Architecture from 2009 to 2013. He has won the Prize of Out-standing Teachers in Southeast University at 2006, 2008 and 2010 for three times.
