GUO Yimin

GUO Yimin 

Dr. Guo Yimin is the Associate Professor of School of Architecture in Southeast University located in Nanjing, China. He is the Head of Archi-Neering Design Research Center. He held the International Academic Forum on Archi-Neering Design Research in 2016 and 2017.

Dr. Guo graduated from the College of Architecture And Urban Planning, Tongji University in 1998. Then he got a master's degree in Department of Architecture and Building Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2003. During 2004 and 2008, Dr. Guo worked for East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. as an architect. After that, he received his Doctorate in Engineering from Tongji University in 2014.

As a leading scholar in the field of architecture and structure in China, Dr. Guo has published 5 monographs and more than 20 papers, covering a wide range of academic fields in architecture and structure. He has been involved in a series of research concerning architectural design and structure research. Meanwhile he focuses on the design methodology on contemporary architecture and design methodology based on behaviorology (the word “behaviorology” is made by Yoshiharu Tsukamoto with the book “behaviorology” published in 2010, Rizzoli ,New York).

In the last years, Dr. Guo concerned on the relationship of design between architecture and structure. The outcomes of his research have gone beyond the nation's experiences and conditions.
