LI Haiqing

Dr. Li Haiqin is the associate professor of School of Architecture in Southeast University. He received his Doctorate in Engineering from Southeast University in 2002.

His researching focuses on Building Mode of Localized Chinese Modern Architecture and Localized Schemes of Green Building Design  - the intersection of technological history of Chinese modern architecture, industrial heritage conservation & recycling and green building technologies. He has engaged in teaching and research in Southeast University over 20 years, and his doctoral dissertation  Modern Transformation of Chinese Architecture  has been published in 2004, which is earlier endeavour in systematic study of history of building technology in the area of history of Chinese modern architecture(1840-1949), and a theoretical model has been constructed, in which the building technology, related institutions and ideas interacted and influenced with each other. 

In recent years, he has deliberately conducted research in the social production level of building activity, deepening and expanding the auspices of the research, combined with theoretical teaching and design practice. He has won and been directing National Social Science Fund and  Provincial Social Science Fund  research projects, published more than 40 papers and 4 monographs, presided over or participated in Huaian Gaogou wineries non-material heritage protection planning, Chinese Kongfu Gymnasium of Nanjing Institute of Physical Education conservation planning and other important practical projects. Meanwhile he has held over ten academic lectures at Nanjing University, Tongji University and other famous universities in China.
