Research direction: landscape architecture design theory and method, urban green space form and layout 

Wang Xiaojun is a member of the Committee of Theory and History of China Society of Landscape Architecture and a member of the editorial board of China Landscape Architecture. He is mainly engaged in landscape architecture planning and design, urban green space form and layout practice and relevant theoretical research and teaching.

He has preside over and participated in more than 30 project designs, won 14 national and provincial excellent engineering design awards, including 2 national excellent engineering survey and design industry award, the first prize and the second prize once of the national excellent urban and rural planning and design award, the first prize and the second prize once of the ministry of education excellent planning and design award, twice of the first prize, three times of the second prize and three times of the third prize of Jiangsu provincial excellent engineering design award.

In recent years, he has presided over and participated in 4 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published three books, presided over and participated in five translations, edited and co-edited three textbooks, published more than 40 papers in domestic core journals, and won the second prize of the Ministry of Education for scientific and technological progress.
