WU Jinxiu, visiting scholar of Harvard University School of Design (2006-2007), expert of green building evaluation mark of Ministry of Construction, expert of one or two-star green building evaluation mark of Jiangsu Province, member of Green Campus Group of China Academy of Architecture, expert member of China Ethnic Architecture Research Association, expert reviewer of National Natural Science Foundation of China, member of International Association for Building Research and Innovation. She is a reviewer of Buildings, Land, International Journal of Environment research and Public Health, World Architecture, Western Habitat, Industrial Architecture, etc.
She received her bachelor's degree in architecture from Southeast University in July 1995, her doctorate in architecture from Southeast University in May 2000, and has been teaching in the Department of Architecture of Southeast University since the same year. She has received the second prize of the Southeast University Young Teachers' Lecture Competition, the Outstanding Thesis Award of the Chinese Academy of Architecture, the Outstanding Teaching Project Award of the National Steering Committee of Architecture (2013, 2016), the Outstanding Instructor Award of the Design Competition of the China Habitat Design Year Award, and the Outstanding Instructor Award of the Student’s Exhibition of Exchange Programs of Architecture Schools of China. She has hosted and participated in several joint design teaching and practice projects with international top institutions and firms.
In terms of academic research, she has been devoted to the research and practice of green building design/renewal, integrated design of architecture and environment, digital landscape design and theory, and human-centered landscape planning and design. She is in charge of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) project Study on the correlation mechanism and optimization model of outdoor public space form and vitality of university campus based on multimodal spatio-temporal data: Nanjing as an example (52078113), NSFC project Study on the Performance Improvement and Long-term Spatial Optimization of Existing Campus Buildings in Universities (51678123), and NSFC Youth Fund project Study on the Progressive Performance Improvement Model of Republic of China Buildings Based on DPE (51208089), and the sub-project of Key Technologies and Integrated Demonstration for the Living Protection and Utilization of Traditional Villages of the 13th Five-Year National Key Research and Development Program, The path of living protection and utilization of traditional villages and its technical principles . She also participated in three projects of the NSFC of China, one project of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, one project of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and one project of the Doctoral Research Fund of the Ministry of Education. She has published more than 50 papers in domestic and international academic journals (including more than 10 SCI and SSCI papers), applied for 4 patents, and published 8 related books. She has participated in many international and domestic important academic conferences and made conference presentations.
