Research direction: landscape architecture planning and design theory, digital landscape and landscape architecture design
Focusing on the frontier of landscape architecture, Yuan Yangyang is engaged in research, teaching and practice in landscape architecture planning and design, theory, digital landscape, landscape architecture design and other fields. She presided over the youth science project of National Natural Science Foundation of China- Research on Parametric Design of Landscape Architecture Water Environment(51608108), and participated in the key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China- Theory and Methods of Urban Green Space Planning under Low Impact Development (51838003). She participated in and completed a number of national and provincial scientific research projects, such as Research on Parametric Landscape Architecture Design Methodology--Taking Vertical Design as an Example(51278115) and Intensive Landscape Architecture Design Methodology Research Based on Quantitative Technology(50978053), supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China.
In recent years, she has won the first prize of Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award and the second prize of Excellent Scientific and Technological Achievements of China Society of Landscape Architecture. She participated in the project- Research on Road Greening Construction of Sponge Cities in Jiangsu Province of the Housing and Construction Department of Jiangsu Province, co-edited Technical Guide to Road Greening Construction of Sponge Cities in Jiangsu Province(Southeast University Press, 2018), Collection of Landscape Architecture Materials(China Architecture Industry Press), etc. She has published nearly 30 academic papers inChina Landscape Architecture, the most advanced journal of the discipline, and won 7 awards, including the Excellent Papers Award of the Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture. She has participated in dozens of key provincial and municipal projects and won 14 provincial and ministerial-level design awards, including 2017 First Prize for National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design, 2017 Second Prize for National Excellent Engineering Survey and Design and 2016 First Prize for Jiangsu Province Excellent Engineering Design.
