Research direction: the preventive protection technology of architectural heritage, the control of healthy architectural environment, the coupled analysis theory of heat and humidity, etc.  

Li Yonghui is a designer of China Relic Preservation Responsibility Project, member of expert group of Jiangsu Province Bureau of Cultural Relics, member of Professional Committee of China Ancient Site Protection and Reinforcement Project, member of ISO/TC163/SC2/WG4 Scientific Committee of ISO. He is mainly engaged in research and teaching related to architectural heritage protection, healthy building and coupled analysis theory of heat and humidity.

In recent years, he has successively taken over and participated in more than 10 cultural relic preservation project designs, 5 provincial and ministerial level projects such as NSFC, project of National Cultural Heritage Administration, Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province. He published more than 40 journal papers as the first author or corresponding author, gave more than 10 international and domestic conference reports, and participated in the compilation of 1 Chinese national standard and 1 ISO international standard. In 2014, he was awarded “JAABE Best Paper Award 2014” issued by Architectural Society of China, Japan and South Korea. In 2016, he was selected in “Doctor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation” project of Jiangsu Province, and in 2017, he was selected as “Zhongying Youth”, the talent project of Southeast University.
