Zhang Hong is a national first-class registered architect, director of Institute of Building Technology and Science, School of Architecture, Southeast University, director of Institute of Industrial Housing and Building Industry, Southeast University, director of BIM-CIM Technology Research Center, Southeast University. At present, he is a member of the Technical Expert Committee of the Building Industrialization Branch of China Engineering and Consulting Association, an member of the Assembly Decoration Industry Technology Innovation Strategy Alliance Expert Committee, a director of the Green Building Academic Committee of Architectural Society of China, vice chairman of the Living Environment Committee of China Real Estate Association, a standing member of the Expert Committee of Jiangsu Construction Industry Modernization Innovation Alliance, and a training target of the “333 Cross-Century Academy and Cultivation Project for Technical Leader of” Jiangsu Province. The major direction is architectural technology and theory, forward design of architectural industrialization, theory and method of prefabricated architectural design, architectural information model, urban information model, and architectural performance control design. From the perspective of architecture, through the innovation of architectural design methods, he promoted the transformation and development of classical architecture to new architecture.
He has successively taken charge of and participated in more than 90 engineering project designs. Projects he took charge of have won the following prizes: Nanjing Jinling Library won the first prize of excellent architectural engineering design of the Ministry of Education in 2009, the second prize of excellent engineering design of the National Engineering Survey and Design Industry in 2009; Xuzhou Pengcheng University Library won the second prize of excellent architectural engineering design of Jiangsu Province in 2004. Projects he participated in have won the following prizes: Huai’an Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall won the Bronze Award for national excellent design in 1993, the first prize of excellent architectural engineering design of the Ministry of Education, and the first prize of excellent engineering design of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 1993; in 1999, two projects of Fujian Hailuota and Henan Museum were selected for the China Architecture Achievement Exhibition of Beijing UIA Congress; Huai’an Zhou Enlai Relics Exhibition Hall won the second prize of excellent engineering design of the Ministry of Education in 2001 and Testimonial Award for excellent engineering design of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2001; in 2004, the monument to the 50th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet won the first prize for excellent architectural engineering design of the Ministry of Education.
In terms of government and industry services, he participated in R&D of the software of Nanjing Prefabricated Building Information Service and Supervision Platform which was officially launched in January 2019 and became the government public platform of Nanjing prefabricated building management; the software of BIM and Prefabricated Building System Solution in Kunshan Cityhas been given the bid winning notice of Kunshan government procurement, and will also become the government public platform of BIM and Prefabricated Building in Kunshan.
In recent years, he has taken charge of a number of major scientific research projects such as the science and technology support projects during the period of “11th Five-Year Plan” and “12th Five-Year Plan”, general projects of NSFC, etc. He has published 13 works, obtained 6 approved invention patents, 11 utility model patents and 5 software copyrights. He has edited or participated in preparation of 12 national standards and procedures atlas. He has published more than 50 papers in core journals at home and abroad. His scientific research achievements have won many awards. The projects he took charge of have won the following prizes: In 2016, the “development and application of building industrial housing equipment” won the first prize of China’s industry-university-research cooperation innovation achievement, and in 2018, the scientific research achievement of “research and demonstration of key technology in the design and construction of affordable housing industrialization” participated in the national “12th Five-Year Plan” scientific and technological innovation achievement exhibition; scientific research projects he participated in have won the following prizes: in 2017 and 2018, the “research and demonstration of integrated application of green ecological park technology” and “Research and demonstration of key technology in the design and construction of affordable housing industrialization” won the second prize and first prize of Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award respectively and the “Standard for Modular Cooperation of Building (GB/T50002-2013)” won the second prize of Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2018.
