Deng Hao is a course teacher of senior undergraduate and postgraduate major design course and design theory course of Southeast University, National First-Class Registered Architect, Visiting Scholar of COZEN Research Center, Department of Geography, University of Birmingham, UK (2009-2010), member of UMRG (Urban Morphology Research Group), editorial board member of British professional journal Urban Morphology (included in A & HCI). He has acted as the Deputy Chief Architect and consultant Chief Architect of Nanjing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and the Architect and Consultant Chief Architect of Henan Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd.
In the design teaching, he has won the excellent award for design teaching plan and the excellence award for operation instructor of Professional Steering Committee of Architectural Society of China for many times; in the design practice, he has successively presided over or participated in the completion of more than 40 planning and construction engineering design projects, especially the key and important cultural public buildings in a large proportion, and has won excellent engineering design award at national, provincial and ministerial levels for many times. In recent years, adhering to the Communist Party’s belief of “never forgetting the original heart and keeping the mission in mind”, he led postgraduates to carry out urban and rural investigation and design services in economically underdeveloped areas and old revolutionary areas. Only in Xinxian County, Henan, the revolutionary base of Hubei, Henan and Anhui, he has successively designed and completed projects including Xinxian Library, Xinxian Qunyi Museum, Xinxian Citizen Service Center, Xinxian Geological Museum, Xinxian Science and Technology Museum, Xinxian Youth Activity Center, Xinxian Archives, Xinxian Administrative Comprehensive Service Building, Xinxian Citizen Service Center, Improvement of Scenic Spot and the Construction of New Museum of Revolutionary Memorial Hall in the capital of Soviet Areas of Hubei, Henan, Anhui. All those efforts have substantially helped to improve the urban service level of the people in the old revolutionary areas, and are well received by the local people and cadres.
In recent years, he has participated in seven projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and provincial and ministerial research projects as a major participant, and published more than ten professional papers in core journals at home and abroad.
