Liqun Wang received her PhD in art from Hunan University. She is a member of the American National Watercolor Society(NWS) , a member of China Art Anthropology Association, a member of Hunan Artist Association. She was a visiting scholar at Louisiana State University from 2017 to 2018. Liqun Wang’s main research interests includes the watercolor art creation, history of Chinese classical garden and art theory. In recent years, she has published 5 papers in authoritative journals and 2 papers in international conferences. Participated in the compilation of 4 textbooks and monographs.
In terms of artistic creation and design practice, she has held three solo watercolor exhibitions in China and the United States severally, and many of her watercolor paintings have been collected by universities, art institutions or private collectors. She was one of the chief creators of architectural art design work China Meishan Cultural Park Architectural Works which participated in the 13th National Art Exhibition in 2019. Many of her watercolor paintings participated in authoritative art exhibitions and won awards above provincial level.
