Research direction: green campus design, landscape visual assessment, adaptive reuse of existing buildings
Chen Yu. Since 2004, he has been teaching in School of Architecture of Southeast University, focusing on the design and theory courses of undergraduate students,emphasizing behavioral and cultural factors in design. He has visited KTH in Sweden and Cardiff University in UK.
The main research directions are campus planning and design, landscape visual assessment and adaptive reuse of existing buildings, focusing on environment-behavior-based design research methods and green campus planning technology. He has presided over and participated in the design of more than 30 projects, and won 14 national and provincial excellent design awards, including many campus planning and design projects. As a main member, he completed three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, published monographs Visual Evaluation of Urban Landscape, Return of Architecture, etc., and published more than ten papers in domestic core journals.
