Chen Yang, National Registered Urban and Rural Planner, Member of the Urban Regeneration Committee of Jiangsu Urban Planning Research Society, Community Planner of Suzhou National Historic and Cultural City Reserve, Community Creator (Planner) of Qinhong Street Office of the People's Government of Qinhuai District in Nanjing, and has been to Cardiff University in UK for joint PhD.
In recent years, he has been responsible for the Youth Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the sub-theme of the 14th Five-Year National Key Research and Development Program project, the project funded by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and participated in a number of projects of the National Key Research and Development Program project, major consulting and research projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the thematic case project of the Academic Degree and Postgraduate Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education and a number of group standards of the China Society of Urban Planning. He has published a monograph Mixed Urban Land Use, published many papers in core journals such as Urban Planning, and was awarded the Special Prize for Outstanding Scientific and Technical Papers of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society of Urban Planning(QiuShi).
He is mainly engaged in urban regeneration planning, cultural heritage preservation practice. He has received more than 10 series of planning awards, including the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) Award of Excellence, the national award of excellence in planning and design, the provincial award of excellence in planning and design, and has guided students to win 2 awards in national planning and design competition.
